Introduction

Aquleo Technologies ("we", "us", "our") built the Lekka app to help kirana shop owners and small business owners manage their khata (ledger) simply and reliably. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Lekka app collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and your rights as a user. By using Lekka, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information the App Collects

Lekka collects only the information you enter directly into the app:

• Customer names and phone numbers (that you add manually)
• Transaction amounts — credit given and payments received
• Transaction dates and notes you add
• Voice recordings — temporarily processed to convert speech to text for entry (not stored)
• Shop name or business name (optional, for display purposes)

We do not collect: your location, browsing history, device contacts (without explicit permission), or any data unrelated to your ledger.

How We Use Your Information

All data you enter into Lekka is used solely to operate the app for you:

• To display your customer list and outstanding balances
• To record and show transaction history
• To generate WhatsApp reminder messages (sent from your own device)
• To provide voice-to-text entry using your microphone
• To display your shop name in the app interface

Data Storage — Where Your Data Lives

All your ledger data — customer names, phone numbers, transaction records — is stored locally on your Android device using the device's secure local database (SQLite). It does not leave your phone.

• No data is uploaded to any server or cloud
• No account or sign-in is required to use Lekka
• Data is accessible only through the Lekka app on your device
• If you uninstall the app, all local data is deleted
• We recommend backing up your device regularly to preserve your records

Android Permissions

Lekka requests the following Android permissions and uses them only as described:

You can deny any optional permission and most app features will continue to work. Lekka will never ask for permissions it does not need.

Voice Entry & Microphone

Lekka includes a voice entry feature that lets you speak a transaction (e.g., "Raju 500 rupees credit") instead of typing it. When you use this feature:

• Your voice is captured by the microphone only while you hold the voice button
• Speech is converted to text using Android's built-in speech recognition service
• The audio recording is not saved by Lekka
• We do not receive, store, or process your voice data

Android's speech recognition may send audio to Google's servers as part of its standard operation. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours.

WhatsApp Integration

Lekka lets you send payment reminders to customers via WhatsApp. When you tap "Send WhatsApp reminder":

• Lekka opens WhatsApp on your device with a pre-written message
• The message is sent by you, from your WhatsApp account
• Lekka does not have access to your WhatsApp messages or account
• No data is transmitted to Aquleo Technologies through this process

WhatsApp usage is governed by Meta's privacy policy. We have no control over or responsibility for WhatsApp's data practices.

Third-Party Services

Lekka itself does not integrate with advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or data brokers. The app operates entirely on your device.

The following third-party services may be involved indirectly:

• Google Play Services — for app distribution and updates. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Android Speech Recognition (Google) — used only when you activate voice entry. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you use the WhatsApp reminder feature. Governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties if you have concerns about their data practices.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with anyone — ever.

• No advertising partners
• No analytics companies
• No data brokers
• No government or law enforcement (unless legally compelled, which would be impossible since we don't hold your data)

Children's Privacy

Lekka is designed for adult business owners (18 years and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and provided personal information, please contact us at hello@aquleo.in and we will take appropriate steps.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times:

• View your data — all data is visible within the app
• Edit your data — you can edit any customer or transaction record
• Delete your data — delete individual records within the app, or uninstall the app to remove all data
• Export your data — use the app's export feature (if available) to save a copy

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app adds new features or when legal requirements change. When we do:

• The updated date at the top of this page will change
• Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notice
• Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy
